Antique French metal telephone with additional earphone made in the 1930s and with an outstanding design. This item is in excellent condition and boasts the great beauty of the telephones made in the first decades of the 20th century, being a powerfully decorative piece. The device is made up of different component parts; among them, the additional earphone is in working order and makes it possible to listen to any person who made a call (if the telephone were connected to an analogue line). The rest of the component parts are not functional, but the decorative power of the device is equally exceptional. The telephones body, the handset and the additional earphone are made of black-enameled metal. The black finish, deep and bright, is in outstanding condition. The black dialer lets us see the red and black numerals and letters, all of them finely preserved too. At the base the telephone bears a riveted metal plate with different data, among them the serial number 06123. The handset bears another plate with the number 855, and the earphone shows a third serial, 09493. Just by this number we can see the engraved inscription PROPRIETÉ DE LETAT (State Property). This antique French metal telephone with additional earphone is a very decorative piece, authentic and original from the period.
