The telephone is black and has silvery metal pieces, boasting the typical attractive look of models from the 1920s.The telephones base has a plate attached to its front. It is made of golden metal and has an embossed inscription with the name of the manufacturer and other data. This inscription says: COMPAGNIE DES TELÉPHONES THOMPSON-HOUSTON CONSTRUCTEUR PARIS TYPE 79605. At the bottom right corner we can see the serial number engraved in the metal: 0245. Thompson, the manufacturing firm, made this telephone for the French market; hence the language in which are written the inscription and the words printed in the dialing disk. Just beside this plate there is another one made of silvery metal and with two hallmarks: one with the letters DD and the number 34, and a circle with the letters LT inside. The dialing disk is black and through the openings we can see a series of numbers and letters printed in black and red on a white background. At the center of the disk we can see some numbers corresponding to different applications from the time when the telephone was made: Interurban calls, Regional calls, Information, Reclamations and Telegraph. The cord is reddish brown and so is the felt that covers the devices base. This color makes a nice contrast with the black telephone, making up a really appealing overall. This lovely vintage telephone is an exclusive piece that will stand out in any room thanks to its rarity, beauty and originality.
