Vintage telephone in impecable condition, a real classic from the first half of the 20th century. This is a fully original item, made in Germany in the 1940s, that has preserved all its appeal and is undoubtedly a highly aesthetical and functional piece. This telephone is model nº 38 and as well as being greatly preserved, it is most interesting because it can be connected to standard non-digital phone lines so it can be perfectly used to make or receive phone call. It is made of black bakelite, as shiny and polished as the first day of use and showing no signs of wear, scratches or dents. The telephone has the original spiral cord that connects the mouthpiece with the main body. The dialing disk is made of black-lacquered metal and the background where the white numbers are printed on is also black. We can see the numbers through the circular openings of the disk, that has also smaller white numbers printed on it. The compact and solid design of this telephone makes of it a real 20th century icon; this fine appearance has turned these items into beautiful decorative pieces. If we turn the telephone upside down we will see some red inscription printed on the non-skid base. At the top there is a rectangular logo with a schematic image of a bugle and a number, probably 52. Just below we can see the word POST in embossed letters and some more red inscriptions: N48 - FTZ120255000 Sz Ausg 3 - FTZ120255000 Ms Ausg 3. At the bottom rests the number 461. The base is perforated to ventilate the inner electrical mechanism and to let the ring tone out. This great vintage telephone will surely catch everybodys eye when decorating the most elegant room or study.
