Edison Fireside Phonograph Model A. 1905

This is an Edison Fireside Model A phonograph, with original Edison 10-panel cygnet trumpet and trumpet crane manufactured in 1905-1908. It incorporates a very rare model B Diamond reproducer. All in perfect working order and with all original period parts, including the trumpet and crane. The main feature of the model A is that it allows to play both 2 and 4 minutes wax cylinders, just by operating a little lever on the side. As can be seen in the photos, the reproducer is completely original and has the serial number 78793. The device has the serial number 27332. There is little more I can add in my description other than to say that the performance is superb and the motor is quiet to the extreme while the sound is impeccably clear, as is the rest of the unit. I have seen few in this superb condition. Included are a 2 minute and a 4 minute cylinder.
