This striking pocket watch is a real jewel as it is made of sterling silver and provides an excellent working. The watch dates from the early 20th century (circa 1915) and is in wonderful condition. Its movement has been revised and adjusted so nowadays the watch works like the first day of use. Some of the silver pieces are gold-plated and make a nice contrast between the natural color of the clean silver and the pink shade of the gold-plated parts. The movement is signed with the manufacturers name; this name is also printed on the smart white face. The faces inscription reads: AUDEMARS FRÈRES BRASSUS & GENÈVE. It also bears black Arab numbers and a secondary hand below. The hands are slim and decorative, being made of golden metal. Over the watchs face, the piece that connects the box with the crown has a hallmark; this mark indicates that the box is made of sterling silver and comes from Switzerland. If we lift the rear cap, inside we will find some hallmarks and inscriptions that provides us with some data about the article. The manufacturers mark is engraved in the metal and to its left we can see two hallmarks shaped like a moon and a crown each. To its right we can see the mark for Swiss sterling silver pieces and under it, the silver proportion (0,800). Below lays the engraved serial number 167915 crowned by the V capital letter. The dustcap is nicely engraved with a series of medals and awards, the manufacturers name and year of foundation (1811) and its location. Inside this cap bears the same hallmarks and serial number engraved in the metal. On the other hand, the movement shows a circular mark with the manufacturers name engraved in one of its pieces. This exclusive silver pocket watch is a very precise and smart item, worthy of the best collection.Measurements: Width: 49 mm.
