This pocket watch is an antique jewel because of the metal it is made of and its great beauty and delicate making. It is a pocket chronograph made of 18-carat gold, with four caps and hallmarks in all its pieces. The chronograph was made by the prestigious Swiss watchmaker Humbert Ramuz Co. and dates from the late 19th century, circa 1890. The box, the caps and the face are in great condition. The inner movement has been carefully cleaned and fine-tuned, and nowadays the watch works perfectly. The white face bears black Roman numbers, and has a secondary hand at the bottom. It also has a slim long hand designed to operate the stopwatch. The face is also printed with a black medal containing the logo and name of the manufacturer, HUMBERT RAMUZ Co. The face is protected by a gold front cap decorated with an elegant flat shield. The rear cap has the same medal with the manufacturers name engraved inside, together with a hallmark, a stamp with the inscription 18K and the serial number 61018.Under this cap we can see the dustcap, engraved outside with two inscriptions: CHARLES HUMBERT FILS Chaux-de-Fonds Suisse and MEDAILLE DOR EXP. UNIV.PARIS 1889. Inside it bears the same hallmarks and inscriptions as the rear cap, except for the medal with the market name. Under the dustcap we can see a very special piece: another cap made of glass and gold ring frame that lets us see the watchs inner movement.
