Beautiful Gold Plated Pendant Clock. Year 1900, Original Case. Working

Exclusive German gold-plated pocket watch made in the early 20th century (1900), in quite good condition. The watchs movement has been cleaned and fine-tuned to guarantee a perfect working order. The watch boasts a classic and ornamental design and comes in its original wooden case, also very well preserved. The set makes up a highly interesting piece, both because of its ancient age and the timeless and smart design that shows off. Its good working order also contributes to increase this watchs attractive. The gold-plated box is hand-engraved with a slim fringe composed of lots of tiny lines that succeed. It is a balanced and dynamic decoration, quite relevant in the elegant look of the watch. The face is white and bears black Arab numbers; it is in good condition, with no hairlines or dents. The nice filigree hands, golden and shiny, stand out because of their style and delicacy. If we turn the watch we will see the rear cap, also hand-engraved with a background full of tiny lines (similar to the ones decorating the box) and a flat shield surrounded by five stylish and simple flowers. Their petals are enameled in deep blue, a great color that makes the best contrast with the bright yellow gold. If we lift the rear cap, inside we will find the serial number 44780 engraved in the metal. Under this cap rests the dustcap, flat outside and with the inscription CUIVE (that indicates this piece is made of copper) and the same serial number engraved in its inner face, together with a mark containing the initials OL. This cap protects the watchs wonderful movement that preserves all its original component parts. The case where the watchs is stored in made of solid lemongrass wood; inside it is covered by dark red velvet and satin. The lining of the lid beats a printed inscription that reads Xaver Schropp Urmacher Rosshupten, very probably the name of the original distributor. Its striking condition and working order and intrinsic beauty turn this watch into a first-class piece. Measurements: Height (with crown): 33 mm. Width: 28 mm.
