Silver Ladies Watch, Ca. 1900.

Gorgeous sterling silver ladies watch, pendant type, made in Germany circa 1900. This lovely jewel-watch comes in its original vintage case and is in wonderful condition. Its movement works perfectly and has been fine-tuned, cleansed and checked. The watch combines gold-plated and regular silver pieces, and is decorated with hand-engraved motives. Its designs mixes the best classic style with a great romantic charm, making up a really unforgettable piece. Moreover this watch is more than one hundred years old, a fact that turns it into an exclusive and authentic item. The watchs front cap is composed of a gold-plated circular frame, decorated with an engraved fringe of volutes. The frame holds the glass that lets us see the face and also protects it. The face is white and has black Roman numbers, as well as a couple of delicate filigree hands made of golden metal. Over the face, the ring bears a hallmark that guarantees the quality of the silver. The ring, the crown and the piece that connects them to the box are made of gold-plated silver, just like the circular frame that surrounds the rear cap. This cap is made of clean silver and is decorated with a flat shield framed by floral motives. Inside the rear cap there are several inscriptions and hallmarks. One of them stands for the silver proportion (A.0.800), and we can also see the official hallmark for German silver, established in 1888 (a crescent moon and a crown). There is also a serial number: 73340. The dustcap bears the inscription 6 Rubis engraved in its outside face, while inside we can see the word METAL (telling us that this piece is not made of silver) and again the serial number. The case where the watch is stored is outside covered by a light brown fabric, while inside it is covered by an aristocratic dark purple velvet lining.
