Classic Omega sterling silver pocket watch, in good condition and perfect working order. This fine watch was manufactured by the prestigious Swiss brand in the 1920s and has preserved all its beauty and precision. The silver box combines two different metal tones and has a nice hand-engraved decoration in the rear cap. The movement has been fully revised and fine-tuned so the watch works greatly, with all the precision that characterizes the famous watchmakers designs. The clocks face bears the printed name OMEGA with the famous brand logo: the Greek letter of the same name. The watchmaking brand was founded in 1848 in La-Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland) by Louis Brandt, who assembled watches with the components supplied by local markers. After his death the factory was taken over by his two sons and then they started manufacturing their own pieces. In 1890 the company was established in Biel, where it still remains. Omega watches have always been a reference when speaking of quality and precision, having being the official chronometers of the Olympic Games (including London 2012) and the first watches on the Moon. The model we can see in these images has white face with black and red Arab numbers, secondary hand and fine filigree hands. The box has a hallmark in the piece that connects the box and the crown, depicting a capercaillie (the mark that identifies Swiss silver). The rear cap is decorated with a nice engraved shield, perfect to contain the owners initials. Inside it bears different marks and inscriptions including the brand name, the silver proportion and the serial number 5530185. The dustcap shows some medals awarded to the brand and inside it bears the same inscriptions and hallmarks as the rear cap. As for the movement, it is signed by the maker and bears the serial number 4822379 engraved in one of the parts. With its undeniable quality and beautiful aesthetic, this watch is a real treasure for any collector or lover of exclusive pieces. Measurements: Width: 53 mm. Height (with crown): 63 mm.
