Antique Omega Pocket Watch, Elegant and Classy. Switzerland, 1930

Striking Omega pocket watch made in Switzerland in 1930 and in very good condition. This gorgeous watch works fine: its movement has been fully checked and cleaned in order to guarantee it. It is greatly preserved, as beautiful and functional as when it was originally made. With a simple and solid design, the great white face with Arab numbers (black for the hours and red for the minutes) draws powerfully out attention. The coppery-metal hands are straight and there is also a secondary hand below them. As usually happens with Omega watches, the face bears the printed market name in capital letters with the Greek letter of the same name, the famous brand logo. Founded in 1848 by watchmaker Louis Brandt, Omega has become one of the most prestigious watchmaker companies in the world. For more than one hundred and fifty years Omega watches have been present in the most relevant events, such as the Olympic Games or the mans landing on the Moon. Nowadays Omega belongs to the powerful Swatch group. This amazing pocket watch is a good example of simple and timeless elegance. The box is made of silvery metal, with flat rear cap with no decoration whatsoever. Inside the rear cal we can see the engraved market name and logo, together with the serial number 7929970. Under this cap rests the dustcap that protects the movement, whose only inscription (the same serial number) is engraved in its inner face. The movement is delicate and precise, and bears the word OMEGA engraved in the metal together with the serial 7160300. This watchs beauty relies on its simple design and undeniably reliability.
