Fine pocket watch with sterling silver box, made in Switzerland for the German market. The watch was manufactured in 1925 and is in magnificent condition; its movement has been cleansed and fine-tuned in order to guarantee an optimal working order. The watchs box was made by C. A. Peterson, a maker located in the Swiss city of Visby, and the movement was produced by Revue Thommen. Its design is classy and stylish, with glass and silver front cap and classic white face with black Arab numbers. The watchs face bears the box manufacturers name and city of location printed in the white background. The hands are straight and simple, made of golden metal and in very good condition. Just below them we can see the secondary hand, also working fine. At the back of the watch, the rear cap shows off a nice flat hand-engraved shield on a net background. If we lift this cap, inside we will see some engraved inscriptions and marks: the silver proportion (0.800), the Swiss and German hallmarks (a capercaillie and a crown) and the serial number 3325889. The dustcap bears the word METAL (that indicates this piece is not silver) and the same serial number engraved inside. Under this cap we find the amazing movement, a real display of delicacy and precision. One of the pieces shows the manufacturers name engraved in the metal: REVUE. It refers to Revue Thommen, a Swiss watch and aviation instrumentation manufacturer originally established in 1853 under the name of Waldenburg. The firm belongs now to the Swiss watchmaker company Grovana Watch Co. Quite elegant and very precise, this Swiss watch will be a great gift for a classy gentleman who can appreciate the most special items. Measurements: Width: 50 mm. Height (with crown): 60 mm.
