Beautiful pocket watch made in the early 20th century (circa 1915) and in very good condition. The watch has been fully cleansed and fine-tuned to guarantee the movements perfect working order. This article looks great and is in good condition: the sterling silver box is shiny and even, with scarcely any signs of wear. The front cap has a silver round frame and an original glass pane that lets us see the fine white face with black Arab numbers. The watchs face has two filigree coppery-metal Louis XVI hands. Just below them we can see the secondary hand with a straight coppery hand and in perfect working order. The rear cap is also framed by a gold-plated ring; the central silver pane shows off a lovely flat shield on a net background. Inside we can see the engraved hallmarks for Swiss and German silver, the silver proportion (0.800) and the boxs serial number: 3187352. The hallmarks can also be seen in the ring, the box and the piece that connects the crown and the box. The dustcap shows a gold-plated finish in a yellow shade. Inside it bears the engraved word METAL indicating that this piece is not made of silver. If we lift this cap we will reach the watchs delicate movement. One of the movements component parts bear the word ORTA engraved in capital letters. ORTA was a trade mark name of General Watch Co., a Swiss watchmaker company founded by Louis Brand. Brand also founded the Omega brand. In 1915 the company started commercializing watches and movements under the ORTA and Helvetia market names. The beautiful and timeless look of this pocket watch turns it into a luxury accessory for the classiest garment. Measurements: Width: 50 mm. Height (with crown): 62 mm.
