This striking pocket watch with 18k solid gold box is an antique piece that was made in the 1830s. Though being a really ancient piece, it is in very good condition and boasts a classy and timeless design. The watch has a quarter-repeater movement and is in good working order. It has been fully fine-tuned and works fine, but it must be mentioned that it gains 20 minutes a day. Furthermore, this is a beautiful and delicate watch that comes with the original winding and setting key. The watchs face boasts a simple and functional design, with black Roman numbers and slim blued hands. The front cap is made of glass; the rear cap is a gold piece decorated with the classic net-shaped engraved motive. Inside this cap we can see a hallmark with a sphinx and number 3, together with the serial number 6707 and another number at the bottom, 12. We can also find another hallmark with the initials A&F. Under this cap we find the golden metal dustcap that protects the movement. Outside it bears a hand-engraved inscription in a stylish calligraphy: R Guillion A Paris Aiguilles Nº 6707 ECHAPTA CYLINDRE QUATRE TROUS EN RUBIS. The dustcap has two holes designed to enter the key and wind or set the movement. If we lift it we will reach the delicate movement preserving all its component parts and gears in working order. This awesome gold pocket watch is an exclusive piece, a gorgeous antique worthy of a great collector. Measurements: Width: 54 mm. Heigth (with crown): 64 mm.
