Attractive Triumphator Gold Plated Pocket Watch. Germany, 1930s

Beautiful pocket watch with gold-plated box, finely decorated and boasting a stylish design. This watch was made in Germany in the 1930s and is in very good condition. The movement has been carefully checked and fine-tuned so now the watch works perfectly. The box is signed by a German company named Triumphator, while the movement bears the brand name Damas engraved in one of its pieces. The watchs front cap boasts an elegant decoration typical from those times: an oval located at the bottom with a series of lines radiating from it and covering the whole piece. Inside this cap we can see the serial number 19234 engraved in the metal. Under the cap we can see the glass-covered watchs face. It is white with big black Arab numbers; the hands are straight and narrow and there is a secondary hand too. The dustcap bears the same serial number engraved in its inside face, with the brand name and model (TRIUMPHATOR I) and a mark depicting a bison. We can also see an inscription that reads 20 JAHRE GARANTIE (20 years guarantee in German). The serial number and the guarantee are also engraved inside the rear cap. The watchs movement lies under the dustcap; one of its small component parts bears the word DAMAS engraved in its surface, probably the name of the company that manufactured the movement. Another piece bears the engraved word DEPOSÉ, meaning patented or registered in French.
