This striking antique pocket watch is a rare and attractive piece that works very well. The watch was made in Switzerland in the early 20th century (circa 1900). Its movement has been carefully checked and fine-tuned to guarantee a right working order. The beautiful face has four secondary hands that mark the days of the week and of the month, the months of the year and the moon phases. It is quite well preserved, showing only a small dent on number II and a hairline that goes from the moon calendar to number X. Nevertheless, this small signs of the trace of time are scarcely visible to the naked eye and do not diminish the immense attractive of the elegant face. The watch has black Roman numbers and lovely coppery filigree hands. The face is also adorned with tiny and delicate golden metal details that enhance its great look. In order to set the time and the calendars, the user must press the four metal rods that surround the face. The left rod is slightly sunken but it still works: it has to be pressed strongly with the point of a needle. The watchs box is made of steal metal, while the crown and the ring are made of golden metal. If we lift the rear cap, we will reach the watchs inner movement: it is composed of delicate gears and pieces, all of them original and in great condition. One of the pieces bears the letters R and A (corresponding to Retard and Avance) engraved in the metal, together with an arrow that points downwards. As original as dazzling, this awesome pocket watch will be the starring piece of a great collection. Measurements: Width: 51 mm. Height: 66 mm.
