Particularly unusual specimen of lepine watch with Arabic 24-hour time indication from 1 to 24. Highly sought after by collectors, appearing in numerous books referenced with identical characteristics such as, for example Edith Manoni's, Montres Ancienes. Of Swiss manufacture and historical dating: circa 1900, 19th century. The case is round in blued ferrous iron, has no cover and is of the pendant type and crown at XII and 24 hours, with the number engraved on the back cover 343614 and the inscription "Depose Argentan"; it is completely smooth and has a side pusher that when operated and turning the crown allows the time change that, leaving it pressed, the crown winds up. The dial is white enamel on convex copper, with the inscription "Chronomètre", in which the hour indications are in black enamel Arabic numerals from 1 to 24, which indicates all the hours of day; on the outside of these in black enamel and Arabic numerals, the indication of the minutes. Additionally, in Arabic numerals and smaller red numbers, on the left inside indicates the 12 hours after noon numbered from 2 to 12. It has a seconds hand at six o'clock in black enamel. HR, Spade, Min, Whip hands. The machine is winding system by the crown, being the three-quarter round caliber and shows us the arrangement of the parts of a movement and their relationship between them; made of gold brass, the indicator is marked by advance and retard; that is, if the needle is directed towards advance, the watch is accelerated, and if directed towards retard, it is delayed. It has 15 bright red anti-scratch rubies. The power transmission is of the lever escapement type. Case measures 52 mm in diameter.
