In good state of preservation and operation, conceived and executed by the Swiss master watchmakers of Hebdomas about the year 1890, nineteenth century, it is a lepine watch with a single cover totally unusual, since it responds to a mechanical concept that gets its winding to keep the machinery running for several days continuously. Its allegorical ornaments stand out. Its case is made of solid silver and has a side pusher at XI o'clock that, when pressed, allows changing the time; if not pressed, the crown refers to winding. It should be emphasized the inclusion of a contrast in the neck of the crown. The dial is eccentric in cream enamel, presenting a sub-dial for the time dial with Arabic numerals in black enamel - except for 12 which is in red - highlighted by circles surrounding each of the numbers and whose interior happens to be in white enamel. A complementary numbering, as a subscript, forming an inner perimeter circle and highlighted in red enamel, offers the hour digits from 0 to 23. The hands are of the whip type, presenting blue tonality. But it should be noted that, visually, the intrinsic characteristic of this type of watch is that the dial leaves a small hole at the bottom that reveals the balance wheel, as well as the regulating hand. Therefore, the hour phase of the seconds hand disappears. In addition, note that the dial of this ladies' watch is a tribute to femininity through the lily flowers that are drawn in silver and gold on its surface. Allegorically, the lily in the world of watchmaking is a reference of majesty and innocence. On the other hand, the dial shows in black enamel and in its lower part: the indications for the placement of the regulating hand (A-R or F-S), the indication of the technical capacity of this type of watch ("8 JOURS") and the signature of the constructor ("HEBDOMAS"). The intrinsic beauty of this watch is further emphasized by the floral motifs engraved and covering the entire back cover: a precious ensemble that conveys with increased impetus the subtlety of the message revealed on the dial. We cannot deny that this is a beautiful gift concept, perhaps to be dedicated to a lady. As if that were not enough, the cover reserves a remarkable empty space to personalize it with the initials of the honoree. By lifting the dust cover, the case of the spring is shown where the characteristics of the machinery are engraved, as well as the medals obtained in Paris, Chicago, Milan and Geneva for the watch model to which we refer. Diameter: 48.5mm.
