Lady's Pocket Watch in Solid Gold. Three Covers. Original Case. Circa 1880.

Antique ladies pocket watch, made in 14 K solid gold and working perfectly. This precious jewel, elegant and finely wrought, adds to its undeniable charm the fact that it works perfectly, thus fulfilling the original function of any watch: mark the passing hours. Besides being an object in full use, it is also a beautiful antique piece with serial number 1690, which appears engraved on two of the covers. The watch has three covers, one to protect the face and two located on the rear. The extrerior covers are carved with beautiful filigree flowers, hand-made by master goldsmiths. In the center of the front we can make out the silhouette of a bird. If we open the back cover we will find another one, designed to preserve the machinery from the dust. It is made of metal and shows different symbols , the number 0.585 and the serial number (1690). The watch also shows the inscription Cylinder 8 Rubis, which attests to the quality of the mechanism. The beauty of the gears and its excellent state of preservation is another feature of this watch. The mechanism is exposed when we litf the lids, while the face also remains in very good condition, except tiny defects showing the effects of use and time. The two hands are a work of art, made of metal with delicate filigree designs. The watch also keeps its elegant original case. Ultimately, this exceptional antique gold watch is not only a beautiful collector's item, but also a wonderful complement to the highest elegance. Watch measure: 29 mm in diameter (excluding crown).
