Antique ladies pocket watch with solid-silver casing, a delicate piece in very good condition. The watch was made in France in the late 19th century (circa 1870) and remains in perfect working order. To guarantee its good performance, the movement has been cleaned, checked and overhauled. The watch case bears different hallmarks that certify the silvers quality and origin, perfectly visible and well preserved. The watch shows off a simple and stylish design that turns it into a beautiful and timeless piece, functional and with an undeniable charm, as well as being a charismatic antique. The watchs face is protected by the front cap, a piece that preserves the original glass mounted in a silver frame. It bears black Roman numbers for the hours and black Arab numbers for the minutes. The lovely hands are made of golden metal with filigree details. The face remains in great condition, with no visible hairlines or flaws. Over the face, just in the piece that supports the ring we can see a clearly visible hallmark with a crab inside. The rear cap shows off a nice hand-engraved decoration depicting a flowery garland framing a central shield. Inside this cap we can see the engraved word ARGENTUM (Latin for silver), two hallmarks and the number 105. The dustcap is also decorated with nice engraved motives; its inner face bears a hallmark and the same number as the rear cap. The watch includes a fine chain and the original key.
