18K gold pocket watch with Quarter and Chronometer strike, early. Switzerland, S. XX

Amazing antique Tempora gold pocket watch in very good condition. The watch mounts 18-carat solid-gold casing and is in perfect working order. The movement has been carefully cleaned and overhauled in order to guarantee an optimal performance. The watch have quarter repeater and chronometer; its timeless and discreet elegance turns it into a classy and stylish item. The gold casing bears no engraved or embossed decoration at all, is in good condition and shows only some slight dents (something logical if we consider the items ancient age). The front and rear cap bear the serial number 36084 and the mark 18K (18 carats) engraved in their inner sides. The clocks dial is white, remains in good condition and bears black Roman numerals and a secondary hand. The main hands are made of golden metal and show a fine filigree design. The chronometer function is performed by a straight and slim black hand. Under the rear cap we find a gorgeous dustcap with a fine hand-engraved decoration composed of a series of medals (the prizes awarded to the maker), engraved with the maximum detail. The rear cap also bears the engraved serial number of the watch (the same that we can see in the front and rear caps) and the TEMPORA logo. This brand was registered in 1883 by the watchmaker company Guye & Barbezat, founded in Switzlerland in 1867 by Henry Victor Jean Guye and his former apprentice and the partner Charles-Ami Barbezat. If we lift the dustcap we will discover the watchs movement protected by another cap, this one made of glass.
