Excelsior Park Mechanical Chronometer. USA, 1940s

Wonderful Excelsior Park mechanical chronometer made in the United States of America in the 1940s. The chronometer works really fine and has been overhauled in order to guarantee an optimal performance. This piece is not a pocket watch but a proper chronometer designed to measure times. The case is made of silvery metal and remains in great condition, with no dents or rust traces. The dial is protected by the original glass cap; it has white background with black and red numerals, and black and cobalt-blue hands. The brand name EXCELSIOR PARK is clearly visible and so is the word SWISS that speaks of the Swiss-made movement. The case mounts a lean rear cap with no decoration at all, and a serial number engraved inside. The dustcap bears the same serial number. Last but not least, the movement bears two engraved serial numbers: nº 3364 and 598851. This nostalgic and fine Excelsior Park chronometer, with a classic 1940ss design and in perfect working order, is an iconic and classic piece.
