Gorgeous antique Baltic pocket watch wiht 18 K solid-gold casing. The three caps are made of gold and remain in great condition. The watch is dated in 1910 and was manufactured in Switzerland, possibly for the Spanish market: all the caps bear hallmarks that testify for it. The watch has quater repeater and chronometer function. The movement mounts 17 jewels, is in optimal condition and works really fine. The casing is fully engraved by hand, with a lovely floral decoration full of garlands and leaves. The motives are delicate and precise, revealing the hand of a skillful goldsmith. The front cap bears a non-engraved metal shield, perfect to engrave the future owners initials. The shield is located in front of a delicate dotted pattern and is framed by fine flowers, garlands and leave. This caps inner side bears a hallmark, the 18K mark and the serial numbers lasts three ciphers, 283. The dial that rests under this cap is made of white porcelain with black enameled numerals. It is in flawless condition and bears the brand name BALTIC painted in black lettering. The watch mounts pear-type (poire) metal hands. The rear cap shows off an engraved decoration quite similar to the front caps but with subtle differences. Instead of a shield, in this case there is a fine garland. Inside the cap we can see the same inscriptions as in the one stated before. The dustcap bears a hand-engraved inscription containing the Spanish words MEDALLA DE ORO. Inside we see again the hallmark and the 18K mark, accompanied by the full serial number: 293283.
