Antique Silver Pocket Watch. France, Circa 1900

Gorgeous antique pocket watch with solid-silver casing, made in France circa 1900 and in really good condition. The watch mounts cylinder-type movement with 10 jewels, in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The silver casing shows the corresponding hallmarks which guarantee the noble metals origin and quality. The glass front cap protects a lovely white-porcelain dial with a remarkable delicate decoration. The black Arab numerals are inscribed inside pink enamel circles, separated by tiny flowers of the same color. Beside the numerals and under the hands we can see a series of shiny golden dots. The Louis XV hands are made of copper-plated metal. The rear cap shows off a simple hand-engraved decoration composed of parallel concentric lines, schematic floral motives and central shield. In its inner side we find the serial number 1058 and the French silver hallmarks. The dustcap bears the inscription CYLINDRE 10 RUBIES engraved in its front side and the stated hallmarks in its inner side. Its beautiful design and ancient age turn this amazing solid-silver pocket watch into a stylish and charismatic jewel. Measurements: Width: 44 cm.
