Outstanding antique pocket watch with solid-silver casing, made in France circa 1900 and in very good condition. The casing mounts three caps (front, rear and dustcap) and bear their corresponding hallmarks. The watch works really fine; it has a cylinder movement that has been thoroughly fine-tuned to guarantee an optimal performance. The watchs dial is made of white porcelain and has black Roman numerals for the hours before noon (1 to 12, bigger in size) and red numerals (smaller in size) for the hours after noon (12 to 24). The Louis XV hands are made of golden metal. The ring that frames the dial has a fine engraved decoration depicting a garland of flowers and volutes. This decoration frames the rear cap too. This cap is decorated with a series of parallel lines which combine lean silver and gold-plated silver. At the bottom there is an oval bound to engrave the owners initials. In the inner side of this cap we can see the French silver hallmark, the silversmiths mark and the serial number 18076. With its lovely design and strong personality, this amazing antique solid-silver pocket watch will keep its beauty and its great working order for decades. Measurements: Width: 46 mm.
