Lovely antique pocket watch made in France in the early 20th century (1900), in very good condition and perfect working order. It mounts a cylinder movement which has been fine-tuned to guarantee a good performance: today the watch is a perfectly functional piece. The watchs casing is made of solid silver with a white-porcelain dial. The dial is remarkably beautiful: its white surface is profusely decorated with golden dots and adorns. The black-enamel Roman numerals are framed by fine golden oval motifs. The dial includes a secondary hand and mounts coppery-metal Louis XV hands. It is framed by a gold-plated ring that makes a fine contrast with the non-plated silver of the rest of the casing. The rear cap shows off a wonderful hand-engraved decoration with big flowers and an empty space at the bottom, perfect to engrave the owners initials. In its inner side we can see the hallmarks (one of them containing a crab) and the serial number 8564. Inside the dustcap we can see again the crab hallmark. Gorgeous and stylish, this antique French pocket watch with solid-silver casing is a real eye-catcher. An old-time accessory, full of class and personality. Measurements: Width: 48 mm.
