Antique Solid Silver Pocket Watch. Case. Switzerland, Circa 1900

Antique solid silver pocket watch in its original case, made in Switzerland for the German market and in excellent working order. The watch is dated circa 1900 and has been thoroughly cleaned and fine-tuned in order to guarantee a perfect performance. The watchs casing is entirely made of silver except for the dustcap. Both the casing and the rear cap bear hallmarks that guarantee the metals quality and ancient age. The dial is white with black Arab numerals and coppery metal Louis XV hands. The rear cap is decorated with a guilloche pattern and a central shield without engraved inscriptions. If we open it inside we will find the silver proportion (0,800), the Swiss and German silver hallmarks and the serial number 561751. Under this cap we can see the metal dustcap with a hand-engraved inscription in an elegant cursive lettering. Inside we can see the serial number stated before. The watch comes in its original case, an old-time box outside covered by dark red leather and with an inner velvet lining. It comes with a metal chain that fulfills perfectly its duty. This antique solid-silver pocket watch preserves all the charm of the original turn-of-the-century mechanical pieces. Measurements: Width: 48 mm.
