Ladies' 18K yellow gold pocket watch, winding and time setting with key (included), with open dial, case made in France, Swiss machinery, circa 1870.Case: 33 mm diameter case, three-blade. Watch case in solid 18 K yellow gold with rim and pendant placed at the twelve position. The back cover with a cameo in the form of a rococo engraved shield with the owner's initials surrounded by a field of gilt engravings of Fleurs de Lys and a border of full of swirls. The inside of the lid bears the initials of the box maker in France, 'EP', along with a French 18k solid gold stamp used between 1838 and 1919 ( a horse's head or donkey's head). The cuvette has two openings for setting time and winding with key (included) and marked in French: "Cylinder escapement with eight rubies".Dial: white porcelain dial with Roman hours, minute ring, pierced and gilded steel hands. The dial is not signed.Machinery: Swiss gilded machinery, in perfect working order. This is cylinder escapement machinery with 8 jewels.Condition: Case - In very good condition. Dial - Excellent.
