Gorgeous antique solid-silver pocket watch made circa 1890 and in amazing condition. This watch boasts a charming and fine design that combines a sober and elegant dial with some lovely details such as the golden hands. The watchs movement is in perfect working order and keeps the time finely. The silver casing is decorated with a lovely hand-engraved motif which enhances the watchs good looks and personality. The dial is protected by the original glass and silver cap, which remains in really good condition. It is white and bears black Roman numerals. It mounts golden-metal Louis XVI hands with a beautiful design composed of intertwined volutes and leaves. This fanciful design makes a great contrast with the rest of the dial. The watchs rear cap bears a fine hand-engraved shield framed by flowers and leaves and on a net background. The shield bears no engraved initials. Under this cap we find the dustcap, another silver piece made to protect the movement and preserve it from dust. It bears a fine hand-engraved French inscription that describes the movement and indicates that it mounts 15 rubies. The inscription mixes different letterings, all of them beautifully executed, and is accompanied by a simple ornamental detail. Inside the rear cap we can see a hallmark with a crossbow and two crossed arrows. Any lover of authentic, stylish and special watches will appreciate this antique solid-silver pocket watch, a piece that stands out for its attractive design. Measurements: Width: 50 mm.
