It does not gain or lose time and comes with a winding key which is not antique but fits perfectly with the movement. The watchs casing is discreet and elegant and bears hallmarks in different parts (including the crown) that testify for the items quality and ancient age. The dial is protected by a glass pane. It is white and boast a simple and fine design with stylized black Roman numerals. The hands are made of gold-plated metal; the hour one shows a cathedral-style design. The gold rear cap is decorated with a fine guilloche decoration and a non-engraved central shield. It is amazingly preserved, with no scratches or dents. If we open the cap we will find a dustcap designed to protect the movement. This cap bears some hallmarks which identify London gold, the year of manufacture (the O mark, corresponding to 1869) and the golds carats. Under the dustcap, the watchs movement displays its great look and precise manufacture. It bears the watchmakers name and address engraved by hand: E. Jones, 115 Fulham Road, London.
