Striking antique Omega gold-plated pocket watch made in Switzerland in 1920, very well preserved and of remarkable beauty. The watch shows off an almost flawless working order. The casing preserves the gold-plated finish in fine condition, with no traces of wear or scratches. It was made in England, while the movement comes from Switzerland. The dial is protected by the original glass pane and boasts a fine and clean design, with white background, black Roman numerals and cobalt-blue spade-shaped hands. Printed on the dial we can see the Omega brand logo, the so-called Greek letter over the OMEGA brand name. The rear cap of the casing bears no engraved decoration or letters and is in superb condition. Inside we can see the engraved name of the English manufacturer: STAR DENNISON WATCH CASE Co. Under these words we find the serial number 5200002, which is also present inside the dustcap. Together with the serial there is an inscription which tells us that the casing was made in England and is guaranteed to wear for 10 years. Under the dustcap we find the original movement, signed by OMEGA and with the serial number 465067 engraved in one of its component parts. Its great condition and the prestige of the manufacturing brand turn this antique Omega gold-plated pocket watch into a real classic in the field of high-end watchmaking. Dimensions: Width: 50 mm.Omega Watches - History Omega is one of the most renowned watchmakers in the world. It was founded in La-Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, in 1848. Its founder was Louis Brandt. From then on and to this day (currently the brand belongs to the Swatch group), the firm has developed striking designs and movements that have spread its quality all over the world. In 1900 Omega got the Grand Prix in the Paris World Fair, and during the 20th century they became official timekeeper of the Olympic Games. The watch that wore the first man on the moon was also an Omega: the Omega Speedmaster that Neil Armstrong wore during the landing.
