Gorgeous antique 18K Gold fuse lever pocket watch made in England in 1866. The watch is signed by William Bent, London at the dial and the movement. The watch works perfectly. It mounts an 18K gold casing with hallmarks in the caps and the crown. The dial is protected by the original glass pane and is white, with black Roman numbers and golden metal pear-type hands. It bears the watchmakers name and city, WILLIAM BENT LONDON E.C., and the serial number 11625 printed in black. The rear cap bears a guilloche decoration with a beautiful non-engraved central shield. Its inner side bears the same serial number that we saw at the dial engraved in the metal, together with some hallmarks: the mark for 18K gold and the one corresponding to the city of London (a leopards head). There is also a hallmark with the letter L, which indicates that the watch was made in 1866. The rear cap bears the same contrasts and serial number; this number is engraved by hand at the movement, together with the inscription that we found at the dial in a gorgeous cursive lettering. Any lover of quality watches will appreciate the beauty and great working order of this antique 18K gold fusee lever pocket watch, an exceptional item in fine condition. Dimensions: Width: 51 mm.
