Amazing Antique Pocket Watch with Quarter Repeater. 18K Gold. Switzerland, 1900

Amazing antique 18K gold pocket watch with quarter repeater, made in Switzerland in 1900 and in great condition. This watch stands out for its elegant look and good working order, remaining finely preserved in spite of being more than one hundred years old. The watch mounts a 18K solid gold casing. The front cap bears a lovely guilloche decoration with non-engraved central circle, in perfect condition and with no signs of wear or scratches. Inside the front cap we find the hallmark and the mark that testify for the golds quality (18K), together with the number 23. The hallmark can also be seen in the piece that connects the casing and the ring. Under the front cap we can see the gorgeous dial, decorated with golden metal details and with black Roman numerals. It mounts cobalt blue metal poire hands, whose sober design makes a fine contrast with the profusely adorned dial. The rear cap bears a stylish decoration, similar to that of the front cap, with a smaller central circle and guilloche background. Inside we find the hallmarks and the complete serial number, 10823. The rear cap bears a wonderful hand-engraved inscription in cursive lettering, including the serial number seen inside the rear cap and details about the movement. This one is protected by a glass cap which lets us appreciate the gears. There is an engraved mark with a Swiss cross containing the number 6099.
