Antique double-casing verge-fusee pocket watch signed at the movement by Robert Derwood, London. The watch mas made in England circa 1760 and is an oignon-type model in excellent working order. It has an inner casing containing the dial and the movement and an outer removable casing. The inner casing is made of brass and the outer one is covered of natural material; they are both in fine condition. The brass casing which makes up the watch bears no decoration at all. It has a hole at the rear cap to wind up the movement. The dial is white with simple black Arab numerals and thick metal hands in the same color. Under the rear cap we find the amazing movement, fully decorated with hand-engraved scrolls and flowers and with the inscription Robert Derwood London in gorgeous cursive lettering. As for the outer case, the covering is in fine condition. It is adorned with small brass pins which surround the whole piece. This antique double-casing verge-fusee pocket watch signed by Robert Derwood, London is a collectors piece, as beautiful as finely preserved. Dimensions: Diameter: Outer Casing: 52 mm. Inner Casing: 44 mm.
