Antique Invicta pocket watch, with minute-repeating movement and chronograph and made on 14K gold. The watch was made in Switzerland circa 1900. This amazing item is in excellent condition, being also in very good working order. The casing includes three caps: front, rear and dustcap, all of them made of 14K gold. It has no engraved decoration or motifs; the metal surface is even and polished, boasting a great condition. Inside each cap we can see the mark with the gold quality (14K), different hallmarks and the serial number 700163, complete or part of it. The dial is white and has black Arab numerals, golden metal Louis XV hands and a straight blue hand for the chronograph. Under the rear cap we can see the dustcap, profusely engraved with the brand name and eight medals corresponding to different awards. Under this piece, the delicate movement is protected by an extra glass cap. The Invicta company was founded by Raphael Picard in La-Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, in 1837. It was active for nearly a century, until it went bankrupt in 1987 and was sold to Ondix S.A., which commercialized watches under the brand name until 1991. That year Invicta was acquired by a North American company which is currently stablished in Hollywood.
