Gorgeous antique verge-fusee pocket watch with enamel decoration, made in France circa 1800 and in working order. The casing is probably made of silver, but it bears no hallmarks to guarantee it. The rear cap is decorated with a white, green and golden enamel motif. The scene depicts two figures in profile, a man and a woman dressed in the 18th-century fashion. The figures are green and have golden details and clothes. They are standing on a grass ground with golden flowers. The enamel is well preserved and is painted with taste and skill. The front cap is made of glass and metal and protects the dial. This piece is made of white porcelain; the surface shows some hairlines produced by the trace of time and the use. It has black Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the seconds. The straight copper hands show a curious design; some parts are covered by an antique patina. The movement is decorated with engraved and openwork flowers. This antique verge-fusee pocket watch with enamel decoration will stand out in any collection for its original look and good working order. Medidas: Diámetro: 39 mm.
