Antique Solid Silver Pocket Watch. 76 mm Diameter. Switzerland-Germany, Circa 1900

Antique solid silver pocket watch, 76 mm in diameter, made in Switzerland for the German market circa 1900. The watch works fine though it moves slightly faster than it should. It comes with a big-sized silver-plated metal chain with a complicated and attractive design. It has a central diamond-shaped piece with burgundy crystals and slim metal pendant cords. The watch has a silver case; the rear cap is adorned with a simple hand-engraved motif depicting a locomotive. This cap and the dustcap bear the silver hallmark and the metal proportion (0,800), as well as the serial number 285229. The dial is gorgeous, made of white porcelain with gold Roman hours inside red enamel circles. It mounts Louis XV golden hands and has a secondary hand at the 6 position.
