Antique pair-cased verge-fusee pocket watch with natural red material covering, made in England circa 1750. This amazing watch is more than 150 years old, but has survived to our days in good condition and fine working order. The natural red material plates which cover and embellish the outer case are original from the time and have been restored in some places. The quality of the restorations reveals the hand of an excellent professional; they go almost unnoticed. This fine material, with a bright reddish color, covers the whole case. At the ring, it is fixed with brass rivets. The inner case is made of brass and has a white dial with red Roman numerals and Louis-XV-style hands. The movement is a state-of-the-art piece; the plate and the fusee are engraved by hand with many scrolls and a fauns face. Its amazing movement, ancient age and great working order turn this antique pair-cased verge-fusee pocket watch with tortoiseshell covering into a real collectors piece, so beautiful and charismatic. Dimensions: Outer Case: 40 mm. Case: 40 mm.
