Of Swiss master watchmaker's construction, this is a curious watch whose case is presented in solid 18 carat gold, saboneta, with two covers, in which the pendant and the crown are at III o'clock. Called a hunter type watch, it has a double dial on the lid and on the inside of the lid. The country of manufacture is England, which is evident from the fact that the production factory "Elkington & Co. Ltd." of London on the protector of the machinery. The historical dating is from the 19th century, around 1880. It is in perfect condition both in operation and appearance; just mention a minimum "hair" on the inner dial, between IIII and V. The front cover is provided with a dial engraved in black enamel and with Roman numerals; on its back are engraved the quality of the gold, the initials of the silversmith "JR" and the serial number "265"; in its center, it shows a convex crystal that allows to see the time without opening the cover of the watch. If opened, it gives access to the second dial that turns out to be in white enamel on convex copper, with Roman numerals in black enamel. The hands, in black brass, serve for both dials and are of the Demi-Hunter type, the hour hand having two heads. On the back cover are engraved the initials "CM" of a previous owner and gives access to the nameplate, in gold, which protects the machinery. It has a side pusher for the time change to III in which we find a contrast mark, as in the fastening ring. The machine, in gold-plated brass and three-quarter round caliber. The winding system is by the crown. Diameter: 36 mm.
