Magnificent Hebdomas Pocket Watch in Silver, Well Preserved and Functioning. Circa 1900

Very elegant Swiss pocket watch made in the early 20th century by prestigious watchmaker brand Hebdomas. This watch boasts a carefully manufacture and is profusely decorated everywhere. It is made of solid silver and part of the cover and the crown are pink gold-plated. On the cover there is an acronym with the letters M and A, surrounded by a delicate embossed net-shaped pattern. The watchs back lid is also made of silver and is embellished with the same net pattern.The watchs face shows the tourbillon escapement, which is typical of Hebdomas watches. Just by the escapement we can see a vertically printed inscription: 8 TAGE HEBDOMAS. On the other hand, the faces numbers are printed to the right of the escapement, and they are pointed by two slim golden filigree needles. The face is also decorated with tiny vegetal-inspired silver details. If we lift the rear lid we will discover a golden metal plate with various inscriptions about the brand, such as prizes awarded in different international fairs and events.In the upper ring there is a hallmark with the letters PNK. The watch works perfectly and has been revised and adjusted. Since 1888, all Hebdomas watches have been entirely manufactured by hand, piece by piece. As a side note, the name Hebdomas recalls the festivities of Ebdomee, held in Greece, which celebrated the birth of Apollo on the seventh day of the month.This impressive vintage pocket watch is a valuable piece which will fill its owner with pride thanks to its excellent working, its great look and its quality.Measurements: Diameter: 50 mm.
