Zenith Silver Watch, 1910

Beautiful solid silver pocket watch made by Zenith brand in Switzerland in 1910. This is a real Zenith watch, signed and with hallmarks in all its parts. Zenith is a watchmaker firm that was founded in 1865 in Le Locle (Switzerland) by Georges Favre-Jacot. The company makes luxury watches and grew rapidly from the beginning. In 1920 there were already more than 20 million Zenith watches in the world. Currently the brand is part of LVHM group. This company has always been a manufacture d'horlogerie, meaning that the firm makes all the components for its watches.This item is a good sample of the beauty, quality and accuracy that distinguish Zenith watches, and has survived to our days in excellent condition. The face is nice and elegant, made of white porcelain with Roman black numbers and secondary hand. The box is made of solid silver and so are the ring, crown and caps. All the components bear hallmarks that testify for the quality of the metal. The brands name, Zenith, is printed in the face and is also engraved inside the rear cap and in the movement. The rear cap is decorated with a flat shield designed to house the owners initials; inside we can see a logo with the word Zenith, the hallmarks and two numbers: 2999902 and 9282.The dustcap bears a number of elegant inscriptions describing the watchs movement and showing the medals that the brand was awarded in different exhibitions and events. Again, inside this piece we can see the hallmarks and the number 9282. The movement is composed of delicate and small pieces, made of brass and silvery metal. It is engraved with the word Zenith and it bears another serial number: 2101774.
