Gold Plated Clock, 1930's

German gold-plated pocket watch with original case and in perfect working order. This watch is a real vintage jewel that was made in the 1930s and boasts the aesthetical elegance that characterizes those years design. It also preserves a genuine charm and has survived to our days in great condition. The watch comes with its original chain and the set is made of gold-plated metal. The article is also stored into the original case, and inside the lid we can read an inscription with the name of the jewelry where it was originally purchased: Paul & Koenig Uhren & Goldwaren GREIZ.The good condition of the article is highly remarkable. The front cap bears a nice decoration, typical of this kind of watches, with a central flat shield intended to house the owners engraved initials. The shield contains no inscription at all so the future owner will be able to personalize the watch. When we open this cap we will discover the watchs face, sober and attractive and made of white porcelain. It has black Arab numbers and small blue digits for the minutes. The watch has also a secondary hand. The hands are finely made of coppery metal.Inside the front cap we can see a nice engraved stamp depicting a bison, and just below rests the serial number 313419. The rear cap boasts a nice net-shaped decoration and inside we find the initials GR and the following inscriptions: GOLD-DOUBLE GARANTIE 10 JAHRE, indicating that the item is made of gold-plated metal. The serial number is engraved again under the mentioned inscriptions, and also inside the dustcap. If we lift this last piece we will eventually reach the watchs movement, made up of small and delicate pieces and with some rubies standing out.This pocket watch is a lovely item from the early 1900s, original and smart, and has been fully revised in order to work as accurately as the first day of use.Measurements: Width: 53 mm.
