Beautiful 14K Gold Ladies Pocket Watch. Switzerland, Circa 1890. In Original Case

This lovely ladies pocket watch is an Antique piece made of 14-carat gold. The piece has hallmarks and works perfectly; it has been fine-tuned to guarantee its perfect operation. The watch is designed to be work as a pendant and was made in Switzerland circa 1890 for the German market. It comes in its original case and is in good condition, showing off a classic timeless design that defies the fashions and the trace of time. The watchs box has a hand-engraved rear cap with a nice floral-inspired decoration and a flat shield in the center. The watchs face is white and has black Roman numbers. It is in very good condition and the fine needles are quite remarkable; they are made of copper-like metal with filigree decoration. Over the face, the piece that connects the box with the crown and the ring bears a hallmark that stands for the golds quality and origin. If we lift the rear cap, inside we will find some more hallmarks indicating the place of manufacturing and the metal proportion. We can also see the serial number 17840 and a mark with the initials AH. The dustcap is engraved outside with an inscription in an elegant lettering that describes the watchs movement: Remontoir Cylindre 10 Rubies. Inside we can see the engraved word METAL, something that tells us that this particular piece is not made of gold. The serial number is also engraved in it. The watchs movement is delicate and fine, composed of small gears and components parts that work like the first day of use. Last but not least, the watch comes in its original case, quite well preserved. This wonderful pocket watch is a jewel worthy of the classiest lady. Its ancient age turns it into a very special gift.
