German Silver Clock, 19th Century

Lovely solid silver pocket watch with hallmarks, made in Germany in the late 19th century. This is a nice hand-decorated piece that comes in its original wooden case. The watch is in great condition and works perfectly, having been fully revised and adjusted. It is made of silver and the chain is made of golden metal. The set of two pieces is highly elegant and is very well complemented by the luxurious red satin that covers the case inside; this lining it is the perfect background for the shiny watch to stand out.The watchs face is white with Arab black numbers and second hand. It has also a crown of tiny golden metal points symbolizing the minutes. Both the face and the glass are in great conditions. The silver edge that frames the face is delicately engraved with vegetal-inspired volutes. The ring and the piece that connects it and the crown with the box bear hallmarks that guarantee that the watch is made of solid silver. It we turn the watch we will find a flat shield in the middle of the rear cap; it is designed to house the owners engraved initials.Inside the rear cap there is a crown-shaped hallmark, an inscription with the word GALONNÉ, the stamp certifying the quality of the silver and the watchs serial number: 511182P. This number is also engraved in the dustcap, but in this case as a part of an elegant signature. The movement is in perfect condition and contains 10 rubies, a fact that is also stated in the dustcap. On the other hand, the case where this beautiful watch can be stored is made in golden ochre solid wood and remains in striking condition.
