Pocket Watch and Bracelet Clock, 1890

Striking ladies pocket watch that can also be worn as a wristwatch. It is a gold-plated item dating from 1890. The bracelet and hook designed to adapt the watch to it were made later, probably in the 1920s. The set is highly elegant and original, and lets its user wear it in both ways. During the first decades of the 20th century wristwatches started to be very popular, and many people adapted their pocket watches to the new fashion as in this case.The watch is wonderfully smart and stylish. Simple and discreet, through its glass front cap we can see the white face with black Roman numbers and golden metal inlays that symbolize the minutes. If we open this cap, in its inner face we will find the serial number 74943, also engraved inside the dustcap.The watchs movement is delicate and precise, and has been revised in order to provide a good operation. The bracelet that comes with the watch, tough being the same color as this, is not made of silver but of golden metal.
