Elegant and sober vintage valve radio, made in 1932 by the prestigious company Philips. The model is 730A, and it is made of mahogany wood and is in perfect working order. The radio is an art deco design, typical of the decade of the 30s in the 20th century; it shows a severe rectangular shape, with a motive of waves and stars in the circular opening made for the speaker. This details provides a unique elegance to the radio, whose aesthetic from the 30s is very appropriate for 21st century interiors. The radio is in good condition. The beauty of mahogany wood (of which the radio is made), which shows its nice characteristic veneer and keeps the original varnish, is one of its bigger appeals. The inside retains the original Philips components, which have inscriptions with the name of the company. Also, at the rear there is a metallic plate with the inscription PHILIPS IMPORTÉ DE HOLLANDE, the model (730A) and the serial number: RO42908. The radio works well at 220V. On the sides of the box there are two knobs made of black bakelite, which are meant to operate the front dial and choose between different stations. The radio stands on two rectangular legs painted in black, which show some signs of wear easy to restore. The beauty of the wood, the nice design typical of the era and the authenticity of all its components turn this radio into a collectors item, perfect to enhance the elegance of any room. Radio measurements: 395 mm width x 490 mm height.
