This suitcase record player is a valve model with a nice retro touch, a Philips reproducer made in the 1970s. The excellent condition that boasts this article is quite remarkable; moreover it works like the first day of use. The record player has a two-needle headshell that can be turned in order to select the proper needle for each record. The turntable can play vinyl and gramophone records of every kind: from 16 to 78 RPM. In order to do so, it is equipped with a lever designed to select the speed. This fine device is a suitcase-shaped portable model, a design that became very popular at the time and that is still easy to carry and decorative. The company Philips was responsible for this record player design and production, and launched different designs of the same kind. This company is a real referent in the field of sound reproduction. This record player bears the market name in a small plate at the front left corner. We can also read it at the top, just by the turntable. Moreover, attached to the cover there is a silvery metal piece shaped like the word Stereo. The record player has a white plastic case, outside covered by a red fabric. The covering is in great condition, with no stains or torn parts. The same can be said about the white plastic, whose surface looks regular and even. The handle and the suitcase locks that the device mounts are also original and have survived to our days in almost impeccable condition. These details, together with the great sound and reproduction quality this record player provides, turn it into an exclusive and very interesting piece. This Philips record player will stand out in a contemporary living room, providing it with the unmistakable style of the seventies.Measurements (closed): Width: 19.4 in/49.5 cm.
