Rare and curious Philips record player made in the seventies in the shape of a vintage horn gramophone. This model belongs to a limited and numered edition. The article we can see in these images is unit number 371. The record player works perfectly and can reproduce vinyl and gramophone records. It has a speed selector for 33, 45 and 78 rpm. This machine provides an excellent sound; this feature, together with the record players original look and singularity, turns it into a real collectors piece. The article is made of wood and plastic, and its design reproduces exactly all the component parts typical of those charming horn gramophones from the early 20th century. At the front of the wooden box we can see a baroque embossed detail, a medal with a lire depicted inside and the word PHILIPS at the top. The brand name is also printed in the piece in the shape of the reproducer; this part holds the needle designed to get in touch with the records. The piece that connects the arm with the needle and the horn, made of coppery plastic, bears also the embossed Philips logo: a circle containing three waves and four stars. Standing over it is the remarkable horn, a plastic white and green piece that hides the speaker. The record player mounts automatic brake system and works at 220, without a transformer. The plastic components, the wooden box and the electrical connections are wonderfully preserved and the record player looks as good as when it was first sold. This original record player is a real retro piece, very attractive and with a great decorative potential.Measurements: Width: 14.1 in/36 cm.
