Precious Ciborium in Solid Silver Gilt, made in France at the end of the 19th century. Magnificent religious piece of undulating forms and beautiful vegetal decoration based on chiseled leaves that run around the entire contour. It has a wide circular base decorated with beautiful leaves distributed in perfect geometry, developed from the foot to the end of the base. Between the large leaves there are discreet triple flowers decorated with a double spiral at the base. The base is topped by a double pearl that harmonizes clearly with the part of the cup, as this delicate pearl is repeated. The foot has in its central part a double knot; a smaller one decorated with engraved flowers, and a thicker upper one with decorative granulated diamonds with delicate flowers inside. By means of an original decoration in clear consonance with the base, a beautiful structure of leaves separated by lobed vegetal forms is developed in the upper part, which continue on the lid. The lid repeats the decoration of the base, creating a marked harmony throughout the piece. The top of the piece, in the form of a Latin cross with trilobular points, is clearly linked to the religious symbolism of this type of piece. The piece, in sterling silver gilt, appears contrasted in all its parts. It presents the contrasts of solid sterling silver with the French stamp (Minerva), as well as the goldsmith's contrasts "X.G". It has a small old repair on the stem almost unnoticeable, which does not detract from the beauty of this fantastic piece. It is a magnificent piece in solid silver, with all its genuine contrasts, which undoubtedly attests to its age and value.Very decorative piece... Truly Magnificent!Weight: 400 gr of silver.
