Impressive Virgin of the Pilar of Zaragoza in solid silver, patron saint of the Hispanidad and the Civil Guard. Dated in 1859 and made by the goldsmith Antolin. The image represents the Virgin crowned and dressed in a Gothic buttoned dress. It is a dress girded by a belt. A large piece of cloth covers the head and shows a wavy hairstyle. The right hand holds a fold of the garment. The Infant Jesus is in the left hand and looks from behind. He appears naked and radiates innocence. His figure turns to the left and his head points to the Virgin's belt. The figures rest on a column protected by a mantle. The filigree work of the goldsmith is remarkable, making a work formed by silver threads, engraved, joined or soldered with immense delicacy and mastery. It presents contrasts in the base of support of the whole. Size: 25 cm high, 9.5 cm wide and 5.5 cm deep. Weight: 240 grams (it has a wooden structure underneath).
