Antique Silver Cross, Circa 1930

Striking antique solid-silver crucifix designed to be hung on the wall, in very good condition and boasting a remarkable beauty. The crucifix comes from Spain and was made in the early 20th century (circa 1930). It is a singularly attractive piece, especially for its wonderful decoration: the silver surface is fully hand-engraved and there is a lovely figure of Jesus Christ attached to it. The figure can be removed if desired. The crucifixs ends are decorated with images of the Fourth Evangelists: Saint Mathew, Saint Mark, Saint Luke and Saint John. At the back of the crucifix there is a central medallion with an image of Virgin Mary with the Sacred Heart. With the image we can see part of an engraved inscription that reads YO SOY LA LUZ (Spanish for I am the Light). This gorgeous hand-engraved antique silver crucifix with a free-standing image of Christ is a singular and antique piece.
